Old Oak Tree Care is a women-owned and operated tree surgery business based out of Cambuslang. We offer all aspects of tree care from pruning to removals to hedge trimming. We pride ourselves in providing a high quality and friendly service to our clients.
We provide our clients with the assurance that all work is carried out safely. We emphasise proper tree pruning practices and carry out inspections on hazardous and dangerous trees. At Old Oak Tree Care, we care about your trees as much as you do, and we provide advice on what treatment to use based on British Standard 3998:2010 (Tree Work Recommendations).
Old Oak Tree Care is fully insured, and all training and certificates can be provided if requested. All the climbing equipment we use is regularly maintained and complies with LOLER (Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment operations 1998) standards. Our team are NPTC (National Profficiency Test Council) qualified.
Steph Dekker was an elite level athlete and gym owner for over a decade before venturing into tree surgery when Covid shut all the gyms. Steph re-trained and used her physical abilities to become a climbing arborist and started Old Oak Tree Care in 2020. These days she can still be found in the gym up to 5 times a week but you'll be more likely to find her up a tree or in a hedge. She's extremely passionate in everything she does and this can be seen in her dedication to skilled work within the tree surgery industry.

Sasha Ballon is a graduate from the Glasgow School of Art and combines her experience working in tree surgery with her artistic practice. In her art practice she works with chainsaw carvings, welding, and textile. She is passionate about repurposing materials and will use the recycled timber from job sites to create art. She started her venture into tree surgery in Canada and works at Old Oak Tree Care as an apprentice.
